How does Signate learn my voice? +
Signate analyzes up to 80 of your most recent sent emails using Claude AI. It extracts patterns in your formality, sentence length, greeting and sign-off phrases, punctuation habits, and tone shifts depending on who you're writing to. The result is a voice profile used to generate every reply.
Is my email data stored? +
Your emails are processed in memory to build your voice profile, not stored in our database long-term. The voice profile itself (a structured description of your writing style) is stored, not the raw email content. Your Gmail OAuth token is stored encrypted and scoped only to what Signate needs.
Can I review replies before they're sent? +
Yes, always. Signate's confidence threshold determines whether a reply goes out automatically or lands in your review queue. You can adjust the threshold, and configure any sender or email type to always require your sign-off. You can also edit any draft before approving it.
What happens when Signate isn't sure how to reply? +
If confidence is below your threshold, the email goes into your review queue with a draft ready. If Signate detects escalation triggers (legal language, urgency, frustrated tone), it flags the email for personal attention instead of drafting a reply.
Does it work with Google Workspace? +
Yes. Signate connects via standard Gmail OAuth and works with both personal Gmail accounts and Google Workspace accounts. Any account accessible through Gmail's API is supported.
Can I pause Signate temporarily? +
Yes. You can disconnect Gmail from settings at any time, which immediately stops Signate from accessing your inbox. Your voice profile is preserved, so reconnecting picks up right where you left off.
How long does setup take? +
Most users are up and running in under 10 minutes. Connecting Gmail takes about 30 seconds. Building your voice profile takes another 2 to 3 minutes. After that Signate starts monitoring your inbox immediately.
