Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Signate ("Service"), operated by Signate, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
By creating an account or using any part of the Signate Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal authority to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the application. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Signate is an AI-powered email assistant that connects to your Gmail account via Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol. The Service analyzes your sent email history to build a voice profile, then reads incoming emails, drafts replies in your voice, and sends approved replies on your behalf.
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure including Anthropic's Claude API for language generation, Google's Gmail API for email access, Supabase for data storage, and Stripe for payment processing. Availability of the Service is subject to the availability of these third-party services.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where possible.
You must create an account to use Signate. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@signateapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts with inaccurate or misleading information.
You may not share your account with others, create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, or transfer your account to another person without our written consent.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these acceptable use requirements.
Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change. We will provide at least 30 days notice before changing the price of an active subscription. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, your continued use constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable law.
If a payment fails, we will retry the charge and notify you by email. Repeated payment failures may result in suspension of your account until payment is resolved.
All fees are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your jurisdiction.
The Signate Service, including its software, design, trademarks, and content, is owned by Signate, Inc. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
You retain all rights to your email content and voice profile data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your email content and generate reply drafts solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership over your emails or writing style.
We do not use your email content or voice profile to train general AI models or to improve our service for other users. Your data is yours.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that replies generated by Signate will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for any particular communication. You are responsible for reviewing all drafts before they are sent.
AI-generated email drafts may contain errors, omissions, or content that does not accurately reflect your intent. You remain solely responsible for all emails sent through your account, whether sent automatically or after your approval.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SIGNATE, INC., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, DAMAGE TO REPUTATION, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account from settings or by contacting us at hello@signateapp.com. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance except where doing so would compromise security or legal obligations.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and governing law, will survive termination.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Signate, Inc. regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
